Migrant Facing Deportation Mounts Hunger Strike at White House

WASHINGTON – Rodolfo Macias, a Mexican who has lived in the United States illegally for 20 years, is used to taking on challenges – the latest is a hunger strike in front of the White House urging President Barack Obama to deliver the immigration reform that he promised before the end of the year.

Defying the cold on the fifth day of his hunger strike, Macias, who has a deportation order for Dec. 7, asked undocumented aliens to demand the longed-for reform together with family members who are already U.S. citizens.

“We the undocumented ... are not criminals but are workers who mostly left our native lands to find a better life,â€

"The hunger strike was the climax of a “March for Justiceâ€

Macias has a long history of protest. In 1989 he declared himself provisional president of the republic of Mexico in exile against President Carlos Salinas for the electoral fraud that gave the latter victory in the 1988 election.

What the heck is he doing here? He needs to get back to Mexico, claim some office space and get to work! Mexico needs him.

All these long 20 years he's been protesting in the wrong country! See, we need to deport them all, for their own good and the well-being of their fellow patriots their land of citizenship. No wonder Mexico's still a rat-hole, all their protesters are hiding out in the "shadows" of the front lawn of the American White House.

I'm telling you, you can't write comedy better than this story.

Ted Hayes said the same thing, he even said him and other Americans would help illegal Mexicans go and protest in Mexico.

If the government had any respect and consideration for the American people they would pick his butt up along with any other illegal aliens joining him and Deport them. How can the world see us as anything but a weak nation when we can't even control our borders and illegal immigration? How can this government admit they do not even know how many millions of illegals are here and not produce a system that will keep track of them...same with visas?

Absolutely! If he was a US citizen he'd already be in jail. Remember that Cindy person who was protesting against the War in Iraq .. all she did was sit down on a sidewalk for a few minutes and the Capitol Police arrested her, carried her off in hand-cuffs, a US citizen whose son was killed in Iaq.

At least ICE will know where to find him on December 7th.
