Migrants Confirm Passing from Juarez to US

Mexico, Dec 4 (Prensa Latina) More than 200 Central Americans from the caravan of migrants crossed from Mexico to the United States, media from Juarez confirmed on Tuesday.

The reports said that there were 221 people, including children and women, who travelled from Juarez, Chihuahua, to El Paso, Texas, where they waited for more than six hours for border patrol staff to detain them in order to apply for asylum.

According to the testimony of Aurora Nevarez, one of the migrants, they arrived from Tijuana, Baja California, from where it is impossible to enter the United States due to the violence against caravan members by US citizens, no matter the presence of children.

She explained that the Central Americans had arrived in several groups to cross in an area where there are no fences and then they walked along the Bravo River to downtown El Paso, where they stationed despite the low temperatures and lack of food, as they waited to be arrested, which occurred when three units of the Border Patrol guarded them while they were being transferred to US immigration facilities in that city.

Everything was done in a peaceful and orderly manner, without the tactical moves used last week at international crossings in Tijuana, Nevarez added.

The source also added that on the Mexican side in that area, 90 other migrants remained on the Zaragoza international bridge, after they left Tijuana and who said that they hoped to enter the United States. A dozen civil society organizations from Juarez and El Paso set up a binational solidarity network to assist Central Americans who intend to cross Chihuahua without documents, local media reported.

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

So are they skipping the asylum process completely? I think that would be facilitating an illegal alien within the United States."
