Minnesota doctor faces deportation to Malaysia

By Associated Press October 13 at 2:30 PM

ROCHESTER, Minn. — A Rochester physician who left her Malaysian village as a teenager could be deported to her birth country as early as next week.

Dr. Guan Lee has built a life and a practice in Minnesota since entering the U.S. in 1992, but has lived in legal limbo.

Her attorney, Malee Ketelsen-Renner, says Lee received a letter from immigration authorities denying her citizenship application in 2009. The 41-year-old doctor has won a series of reprieves on deportation, which now appear to have run out.

The Post-Bulletin reports that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says Guan is out of options and must leave the country.

ICE spokesperson Shawn Neudauer says if Lee fails to comply with a removal order to leave the U.S., she will be listed as an ICE fugitive.

    Sad, But Not Unique!

The story says "Dr. Guan Lee has built a life and a practice in Minnesota since entering the U.S. in 1992, but has lived in legal limbo." It doesn't say how she entered the U.S. Presumably, it was illegally. This is the same story all "Dreamers" claim, that they have built a life here. We are generally unforgiving when a murderer escapes justice and builds a new upstanding life, with maybe a family and such. When we catch them, we usually send them to jail anyway.

She can help her country now with what she has learned here. In 1965 jerk ted kennedy changed our immigration system to open it up to massive amounts of SE asians to come to America - many on the dole and bringing family to be on ssi w/o ever paying into our system; college for free too. She apparently couldn't be bothered to go thru the proper channels that were wide open to her.

Deport her...go build "a life" and help people on YOUR soil.

She can help train people in the profession.
ILLEGAL ALIENS HAVE "BROKEN" OUR IMMIGRATION SYSTEM

DO NOT REWARD THEM - DEPORT THEM ALL
