Minuteman Group Finds Ally In Latino Alliance

    http://www.thekansascitychannel.com/new ... etail.html

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A group that has drawn national attention for its patrols on the United States-Mexico border has found an ally while it responds to charges of racism.

Last week, several civic leaders criticized the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, accusing the group of having an underlying racist agenda.

On Tuesday, a member of the People's Alliance for Latino Advancement out of Wichita, Kan., defended the Minuteman group.

"I support what the Minutemen are doing. They're not racist. We're not on the same page on everything, but pretty much we're here to make sure we have a secure border," said Bob Hernandez with the People's Alliance.

Hernandez also called for reform in Mexico to reduce the flow of people trying to cross the border.

They are Americans who came here seeking a better life and did so through the proper channels. Most probably know first hand what America will become should be allow waves of people in this country without a clue as to who they are or why they are here. It's common sense. Unfortunately those screaming that our protestation of their presence is solely based upon race do so because they know they don't have a legal leg to justifiably stand on.

Legal Mexican immigrants know why they left Mexico, to get away from the violence and corruption running rampant there. They see the threat from a very clear perspective.

They jumped through all the hoops to become LEGAL permanent residents and/or U.S. citizens. They SACRIFICED for the RIGHT to be here. It's good to see them making noise!
