More immigrants calling for help - on cell phones - from border

Border Patrol paramedics are seeing "a tremendous increase" in 911 calls made from illegal immigrants' cell phones seeking assistance this year.

Paramedic Mario Agundez says there's been at least a 200 percent increase in the number of cell phone-generated calls this fiscal year over last.

He said it seems like more groups of illegal immigrants are aware of being able to call for help.

In just three days during the first week in June, for instance, Agundez said agents in the Tucson sector received 10 such calls, nine of which resulted in rescues.

In some instances technology built into cell phones helps agents pinpoint the caller's location.

Sure as hell hope they're sent right back!

They have CELL PHONES?!?!?! How can they afford cell phones if they're dirt poor?

Yeah that's what I'd like to know as well...These poor people, who only want a better live and break laws to escape poverty...How ever can we mean Americans who all have so much even in this economic crisis turn these people away? I guess we're just so heartless at not accepting the poverty of the world!

WHAT??? They can get service in the middle of nowhere? Did Verizon put up special towers for illegal border jumpers or something? I wonder if whoever the bill comes to gets charged international rates?

Can't get service at my house and we're less than a mile from a tower.

You know what I didn't even think of that! That's kind of funny, I have a hard time getting service at my house too...It's annoying...

So illegal invaders are now utilizing 911 because they get into trouble while trying to entering this country illegally! The are barely in the country and they are already in need of assistance.

I just hope American citizens who may need emergency servce are not put at risk of not receving that service because of the influx of illegals requiring assistance...
