A six-day, nation-wide crackdown by federal immigration agents has resulted in the arrest of 3,100 convicted criminals and immigration fugitives.
More than 200 people were taken into custody in Northern California, about 100 of those arrested having prior convictions for serious or violent crimes, agents said.
Among those arrested was Sacramento resident Ignacio Franco-Galvez, 43, a citizen of Mexico, who has been deported four times, according to an ICE press release.
ICE officials said Franco-Galvez is an admitted Norteno gang member with multiple prior weapons convictions.
Franco-Galvez was being held Sacramento County Jail on Monday pending deportation.
