    AUSTIN, Texas - More than half of the registered voters in Texas back enacting legislation similar to Arizona's that would crack down on illegal immigrants, according to a poll for five major Texas newspapers.

    The telephone survey by Blum & Weprin Associates found 53 percent of just over 1,000 registered Texas voters said they support passage of Arizona-style legislation by the upcoming Texas Legislature. That's less than in previous polls.

    Republican Gov. Rick Perry has said such legislation would be inappropriate for Texas, but some Republican lawmakers have already introduced similar bills for the legislative session convening in January.

    The survey was published in Sunday editions of the Houston Chronicle, The Dallas Morning News, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the San Antonio Express-News and the Austin American Statesman.

    This makes me sick there should be 49 more lawsuits sitting on the DOJ' desk. This is the"United" States of America. Not the "Divided" States of America. I miss my job!
