    Trans Texas Corridor Billboard

I drive through Wheatland on my way into Fort Worth. Wheatland has a big, fat billboard supporting the TTC. It has a rancher/cowboy smiling, as though he is happy about this. It says it will create jobs, improve emergency evacuations, and lessen traffic.
They are right. It WILL create jobs, most likely for more illegal aliens, and fatten the back pockets of the investors and foreign interests. It will aid those in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and the Red River counties to evacuate from all the hurricanes that make landfall in those areas. It will have less traffic on it because no one will use it, except for the trucks from Mexico and Canada.
Indeed the TTC is a wonderful thing. Taking beautiful grass and tree covered lands used by cattle and other livestock, AND OWNED BY SOMEONE ELSE, in order to replace it with cold, hard pavement, a rail line, utility lines, billboards, and more strip centers is a grand idea. These strip centers will no doubt be filled with your typical Payless Shoes, Hallmark cardshop, Jose's Taqueria Grande, and the $1.25 Drycleaner. Sam Houston knows, we can't have enough of those.
The rancher clearly on the billboard is not one of those that will be losing his land. Perhaps the sign should tell the truth. Less ranchlands, more roadside eyesores, and yet another toll road.

Wheatland is just southwest of Benbrook on 377. It has a gas station, strip club, indoor firing range, and cigarette retail shop. I think the billboard actually fits in pretty well with that hole of a town.

Looking through the data,,,I came across a report that it started about around Christmas time to be built. I forgot where it was now.

Also if you can get near it,,,try to take pics or say if that is in fact true.

My state rep told me the TTC has a lot of holes in the plan and may take years before it truly gets going. My state senators office says we may never see it truly get going within our lifetime. I doubt it!

Our elitist leaders seem to get what they want, no matter how bad an idea it is or how many holes it has in it.

That is quite a sales pitch. Funny how they never advertise the other side of the story. My feeling is that there will be more people for it, then against it. Frustrating, yes...beatable, probably not. They did something similar where I live, although not on that scale. They literally took out a whole little town. There were a couple of people unwilling to move and now they have a nice overpass in their back yard. "Progress" is a tough thing to challenge. It is just a shame that people will have to get hurt in the meantime.

“The open plan to merge the US with Mexico and Canada and create a Pan American Union networked by a NAFTA Super Highway has long been a Globalist brainchild but its very real and prescient implementation on behalf of the Council on Foreign Relations has recently come under bright spotlight. According to author Jerome Corsi, “Across the NAFTA Super-Highways will flow millions more Mexicans, now armed with North American border passes and biometric identification, as defined by the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America working groups organized within the Department of Commerce.”

The Council on Foreign Relations is an evil operation, a subject I have written about extensively over the past decade plus. These people are our enemy and you should know their faces; see here and this one courtesy of an American who cares; this list was obtained from the Seeley Mudd library at Princeton University. The American Empire: Conquest Through NAFTA is another in depth look at the connection between the destruction of our sovereign country and the CFR.

In August 2006, I traveled to Laredo, Texas to interview a U.S. Border Patrol agent who is retiring. While there I saw the huge construction underway of another section of the trans-Texas corridor.

My new friend drove me all around town and gave me a very good history lesson on illegals smuggling themselves across the border, the hot spots and the drug corridors. As I stood on the bank of the Rio Grande and looked across at Mexico, the international bridge joining the two countries was packed like sardines; a human wave. Day workers, visitors and illegals trying to get through with forged documents. On the USA side of the Rio Grande, the first ten blocks going North looks just like the slums of Mexico and like the LA basin, it will come to your town. One or two businesses are in English, but the rest is all Spanish and having been to Tijuana and the interior of Mexico, I know what I’ve seen and to see it being birthed in America is tragic.

Any Texas State legislator who voted for House Bill 3588 back in 2003 which amended the Texas Transportation code to give the state the broad, new powers needed to build the Trans-Texas Corridor should have been thrown out of office two weeks ago. Now they should the target of all Texas groups fighting to stop this move to destroy our republic the next time they’re up for reelection. It is simply beyond words that elected officials, governors, state legislators and members of Congress are allowing America to be sold off to foreign interests and governments. It is an outrage and it is killing US. Texans need to begin bombarding their state legislators to stop this NAU and the SPP by telling Washington, DC we will not give up our sovereignty. I know this will be difficult since most of them are bought and paid for by big business in this state, but if hundreds of thousands of Texans make their voices good and loud, the roar of the lion hearted will scare the mice.

Must not be one of the ranchers whose land will be subject to imminent domain to provide the minimum 146 acres per linear mile necessary for the 4000 crisscrossing miles of the project (that's well over a half million acres of Texas land snapped up by the government).

hmm never heard of the little place. guess is somewhere i dont need to be. can ya get a pic of the billboard???

NEESE there are thousands of texans who oppose it.
the Texas DOT had required meetings over the summer in towns.
    and look at this...............

    waco- 1000 people
    temple 1600.
    seguin- 700
    floresville 700
    san antonio 600 and 400*

I personally atteneded the meeting in dallas, about 300

NO ONE there who spoke up said they liked it, and the only ones who did were associated with regional mobility plans

DOT rented a building with capacity of 600 so they had to ahve a second meeting.

TxDOT is the mafia. I've said it before, if TxDOT had it's way it would pave all of Texas and charge us a toll to pull out of our driveway.

I've been meaning to get a picture. I'll try tomorrow.

As for Wheatland, ya ain't missin' a thang. Northeast of Cresson, southwest of Benbrook.
