We do have a sense of the what it would cost to build a barrier that would cover substantial segments of the border and you're talking about something on the order of a $20 billion initial investment and that would have very high maintenance costs associated with maintenance, maybe as much as an additional $5 billion per year.

Open border supporters are willing to lie about everything to get their way.

No matter what the cost of a fence, it would still be a bargain compared to the billions we now spend on illegal alien's welfare, food stamps, free health care, mostly anchor baby delivery/pre-post natal services, education of the masses of illegal alien children and anchor babies, incarceration, court and prosecution expenses, along with translator costs, the list is endless.

Not to mention the number of innocent Americans killed by illegals, but you can't put a price on the cost of a person's life. And what price do you put on our country's very existence? If we don't stop this invasion, we will no longer have a country to worry about. We will be a third world slum like Mexico, full of illiterate, uneducated, unskilled, non-English speaking lowlifes with no concern for the future of this country other than to mooch and pilfer every last cent from this nation's treasure until we serve no purpose to them anymore, then they will just go north to Canada to do it all over again.

These open borders traitors will do and say anything to further argument in favor of not securing the border, even if it means lying.

The fence works in San Diego. Build it where they can with the money allocated so far, just get going on it. Just do it!
