Hispanic Violence Trend On the Rise
    2:36

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Police say it's a very disturbing trend. Metro police say they've seen a huge increase in the number of Hispanic murder victims. In many of these cases, Hispanics are doing the killing.

There are the images of justice investigators hold onto. In this case Martha Patlan and FBI's most wanted Genaro Dorantes, were brought back to Nashville after years on the run in Mexico. Both are charged with killing little Luis Cisneros in 2003.

"Each one of these names consists of a case file," said Homicide Detective Pat Postiglione with Metro Police.

Unfortunately, the return to justice is a long and little travelled road in recent years. Postiglione counts more and more homicides each year where there are Hispanic victims, and most with most of those, the suspect is Hispanic as well.

The main issue is a majority of those suspects flee to Mexico and the case remains unsolved.

If they are found, extradition is a nightmare.

"Normally I can tell you almost impossible locate them when flee," said Postiglione.

Police believe drug smuggling lead to a brutal shooting that was caught on surveillance video at a Shell station in South Nashville back in the summer of 2003. The suspect police think is in Mexico.

"It's a vulnerable community, easy to be targeted," said Hispanic advocate Yuri Cunza.

Yuri Cunza acknowledges it's a difficult problem with no real solution. He says many in the Hispanic community are reluctant to talk to police for fear of retaliation and hurting their immigration status.

"By engaging in your community and reporting crimes, you definitely have twice the strength and power of law enforcement and we need to encourage that," said Cunza.

Meanwhile, cold case detectives continue to follow any lead they can. They are worried this trend may continue, but their persistence will too.

"It gets frustrating, any case put heart and soul try to solve the case," said Postiglione.

The list is really extensive when you look at homicides in the last ten years. At least 60 of them involve Hispanic victims, and nearly all of those involve Hispanic suspects. Police aren't sure exactly why these crimes are on the rise, but they do attribute a lot of it to gang activity and drug related violence.

Detectives say many of these cold cases are solved when the suspects re-enter the country after a few years.

I once read a study that if you cram enough rats into a cage and don't feed them enough, they turn to cannibalism. Cram enough drug dealers into this country in a fairly limited free market, their version of cannibalism will be murder, a lot less effort than cooking someone into a stew.

What do the ignoramuses expect?!!! Our police have enough to deal with without adding third world parasites to the mix. This is their "culture," this is their mindset...this is the way they live!!! They are NOT being FORCED TO ASSIMILATE to U.S. culture, U.S. citizens are being FORCED TO ASSIMILATE TO THEIRS!!!

That's part of the reason there has been an increase in gun purchases. The American public who don't have the luxury having armed guards around their homes and around them 24/7, like too many politicians do, see the writing on the wall. Where ever there is a large population of illegal alien Hispanics, there is a huge jump in criminal acitivity in those areas including rape, home invasions and murder!! This is how it is in Latin American countries and they are bringing it here!!!

SECURE THE BORDER and DEPORT ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS!!!!

So then....when La Race and the rest complain of "hate crimes" against the "poor immigrants"...why didn't they tell us it was their own committing these crimes against their "people"?

Well, take a good long look at what they do to their own when they are transporting them here across the desert? Ever heard of "rape trees" out in the desert? It's not U.S. citizens hurting, harming, molesting and murdering these people...it's their own culture that they have brought here that is their worst enemy. That's why their resistance to assimilating to this country is to their own detriment!

They don't want to be Americanized....they want to keep and hold on to the backward, violent culture and customs that makes their home countries hell holes to live in!! THEY ARE FORCING AMERICANS to live like they do, constantly being terrorized in our own homes by the gang violence, corruption, extortion, domestic violence and revenge killings that has ALWAYS made Latin American countries an unattractive travel destination in my book!! Well, look no further...it's been brought here to OUR communities, by illegals and the The U.S. Federal Government!

Minorities are overwhelmingly the victims of crimes, so this isn't new.

attorneyatlaw: Yes, this isn't new however, the MSM and the ethno-centric media and advocates do not like to acknowledge the volume of crimes committed by illegal aliens against victims within their own communities....

They aren't minorities anymore, especially in "their communities."
