A small crowd backing state Rep. Stephen Sandstrom’s bill to crack down on illegal immigration rallied Wednesday at the Utah Capitol.
About 80 people crowded into the Capitol’s West Office Building for the Utah Coalition on Illegal Immigration noon-hour gathering in support of Sandstrom’s proposal, which is similar to a controversial Arizona law that empowers police there to enforce federal immigration laws.
Sandstrom contends state enforcement of those federal laws is needed because Washington has dismally failed to do so.
Sandstrom said he has heard from people all over the state encouraging him to keep up his fight to pass the bill in the upcoming session of the Legislature.
“This bill will become law in the state of Utah,â€Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

If three illegal invaders get together, demanding amnesty, DREAM Act, or that laws not be enforced against them, they never use such adjectives. They get national coverage and write ups in all the papers how Americans support amnesty and every demand these criminals are making.

As a Capitol rally ended Wednesday for Rep. Stephen Sandstrom’s bill targeting illegal immigration, protesters from both sides started yelling, waving signs in one another’s faces, bumping and elbowing — and Utah Highway Patrol troopers rushed in to separate them.
So much for the civil dialogue on immigration called for by the new Utah Compact. Both sides blamed the other for the confrontation and high emotions.
“They are pushing a bill that brings out this sort of emotion. They try to claim that most legal immigrants support their bill, and that’s just not true. It’s dangerous,â€Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

I totally support Sandstrom's bill and appreciate Herrod for standing tall with the facts about the costs of illegal immigration.
The "Utah Compact" isn't worth the paper it's written on if it's even written down to begin with. It's media con game and as NoBueno pointed out, just a traitor's bait for the media to push its globalism down our throats.
No more. Utah, you stand up for your citizens and their families better lives and futures.
And as to this "separating families during deportation" crap in the "Utah Compact", I don't know of any American who desires to separate families during deportation. We want the whole family, kid kat and kadoodle deported, intact with no child left behind.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan

Why does the MSM always describe gatherings of Americans, who demand our immigration laws be enforced as "small?" They report 80 and since they like to under report such efforts, we can allmost bet there were probably over 100 in attendance, which isn't exactly a "small crowd[/quote]

Because most likely we were working to pay for the illegals to give them a better life and their kids a better education ..Yep just us Americans working and not protesting cause nothing is free for us..Yes The illegals are smart, America the Free but just not for us.

[b]Emotion vs. Reason
November 18, 2010By G. Perry
One of the most infuriating aspects of the open borders campaign is the extent to which it’s based on emotion-driven, rather than empirical, arguments. The physical expression of this tendency manifested itself in Utah recently, during a rally held in support of Rep. Stephen Sandstrom’s Illegal Immigration Enforcement Act. Intended as a way of publicly demonstrating the support of ordinary American citizens for a bill that would allow local law enforcement broader authority in detaining illegal aliens apprehended in the commission of other crimes, the press conference and rally soon devolved into an acrimonious shouting match, which required the intervention of Utah law enforcement.
The irony of this confrontation, of course, is that the people who instigated it, i.e. the grab bag of Marxist/ethnic grievance organizations that went to the rally specifically to heckle the supporters of this anti-illegal immigration bill, accuse the victims of their harassment of generating the “toxicâ€

Let's face it, anyone who supports lawbreaking and anarchy is not interested in having a civil discussion, their personality won't permit it.
