Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Wednesday that Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and his fellow agents were not under orders to refrain from using lethal force in the gunbattle that led to Agent Terry’s death in December.

Testifying to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Miss Napolitano said agents are allowed to use lethal force “if you are under threat of serious injury or death.â€

OK then, from this point on all Border Patrol agents are "allowed" to use REAL bullets instead of a pea shooter?? BRING IT ON smugglers, we now have authority to go toe-to-toe with you!!! It came straight from the (clears throat) horses mouth!!

Beanbags belong at carnivals, not in the arsenal of our BP agents who are on the front line of a war zone! The agents were probably second guessing their decisions to use deadly force because the asinine policies of Napolitano. It was enough to get them killed!

Stop tying the hands of our BP behind their backs and then asking them to go out and defend our border against terrorists that have no apprehensions about what they will do! Our agents need to know that if an illegal invader threats them with deadly force, they can respond with like deadly force and not be worried about being sent to prison for defending themselves.

Get rid of the beanbag rounds!
