Napolitano Heralds Deployment of National Guard at Mexican B

1,200 troops means perhaps one Guardsman every 7 miles if you don't give them weekends, holidays, sick days and vacation days off

Napolitano Heralds Deployment of National Guard at Mexican Border

    By Jim Kouri
    Friday, June 25, 2010

“In 2006, about 6,000 National Guard members participated in Operation Jump Start in Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas. In accordance with federal law, Guardsmen do not serve in direct law enforcement roles, but provide reinforcement to the U.S. Border Patrol.â€

This is pathetic and is a joke. Placing unarmed national guardsmen on the border is a risk to their health and safety. The sad thing is these soldiers will have no choice but to be placed in harms way. Maybe we can get armed minuteman volunteers to provide escort duties for our guardsmen so they have some sort of security. Geez...this is idiotic and I can't believe any commanding officer or our supposive commander-in-chief can even sleep with a concience knowing that they are placing American soldiers at risk without any means to protect themselves.

We can protect S.Korea's border with armed US troops but not ours....we need to militarize the first one mile of our borders so these stupid restrictions don't place our soldiers in jeopordy.

Maybe the feds should consider hiring private armed guards to guard the guards....

That way when the crap goes down then the private guard can toss them a back-up weapon...

Guess Obama and crew just expect the guardsman to throw their shovels at them if under an armed assault.

So does this mean they have arrived? Or should we all still be holding our breaths waiting?

Napolitano didn't want to send them out.

Since the word came out that they were going to do the same thing they did under G.W. Bush - paperwork.

Since then, Mexico's mafia & cartel have posted their armed guard thug bullies in view of anyone near the border, as they sit at sniper range with the USA side of the border in shot gun range.

This was reported by one of the border Sheriffs, I believe in Arizona.

Not sure what they will be doing, but if history proves out, then the American military won't be armed.

Pray for the Americans that God will intervene with deadly force against anyone who seeks to harm these brave Americans and/or Border Patrol agents - and any other Americans there with them.

Apperantly Napolitano, who recently stated... "show me a 50 foot fence and I will show you a 51 foot ladder", has not heard of "Operation Streamline"

This woman is another example of a lying, agenda driven Donkey who has no regard for the opinion of the majority, who talks to us as if we are stupid.
No amnesty until the border is secured... then no amnesty.

Luck for janet, they don't even need a ladder now. They just walk right in.
