NAFTA 2.0 is with Mexico and Canada, not Central America. Sanctions fail to work all the time and will fail in this specific circumstance. Make conditions worse in their country and the illegals and asylum seekers will not only not stop, they will step it up. Central America has no desire to cut off remittances and couldn't stop folks from leaving even if they wanted to. Furthermore, we're not the only country in the world that Central America can trade with.

People fleeing violence do not carry the flag of the country they are fleeing violence from.

Invaders do carry the flag of their home country when invading another country.

As far as poverty, $5 a day must buy a lot more there than in the US. The people appear to be dressed as well as the average in the US. I wish a reporter would count the cell phones in the crowd.

Mexico must be sanctioned because of their own illegal immigration into the US and allowing non-citizens of Mexico to enter their country for the express purpose of violating US immigration law on their trek to our country. So Mexico along with the Central American countries must be sanctioned of both aid and trade.

But if you want to feel sorry for and whine on behalf of the people actually responsible for illegal immigration into the US as well as reward them financially for it, well, it's a free country and you can think and feel whatever you want.

But not me. I don't want any country responsible for illegal immigration into the US to receive a dime in aid or trade until it stops.

There you go again attempting discredit someone simply because they don't agree with you. You're so predictable.

Make no mistake about it, these future illegal aliens and asylum seeker receive no sympathy from me. However, I'm intelligent enough to know that making matters worse in their country will not stop them from packing their bags and heading for greener pastures.

If I had advance notice someone was breaking into my home, you better believe they would be stopped!

If I had the US military under my control, you better believe my house would not be broken into!

The United States has had an illegal immigration problem since Dwight Eisenhower. Why haven't you, MW and JD2 stopped it already?
