CORPUS CHRISTI — Police from two agencies caught 10 suspected undocumented immigrants following a crash early Saturday.

Authorities chased a van about 4:20 a.m. that turned off Etring Ave. onto Ayers Street and ran through several stoplights, police said.

The van crashed into a trailer home near Holly and Ayers streets and about a dozen suspected undocumented immigrants ran from the wreck.

The chase was initiated by Nueces County sheriff's deputies, Corpus Christi Police Department's Lt. Israel Soza said.

No one inside the trailer was injured, Soza said.

"Police from several districts became involved," Soza said. "About 10 of the people were caught, and were turned over to border patrol."

Two of those people had minor injuries, he said.

Border Patrol officials in Rio Grande Valley district could not be reached for more information.
