The New Orleans Disaster and its impact

Any thoughts on this there will be a need for reconstruction and a lot of people will have to look elsewhere for work. The majority of those people displaced will be Americans and legal residents. A lot of people will be needed for the rebuilding. Will the illegal immigrants from elsewhere see it as though it were a godsend?
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

There will be illegals waiting with their bags packed to move in as soon as the winds calm down.
Contractors will be hurting for help and the illegals know the contractors won't waste time doing background checks for looking too close at the ID's

This would be a good time for the Federal Government and George Bush to put their money where their mouth is

They say they want to get the employers, and they want to come down on the employers than do it in New Orleans. Quit talking and whining and do it

I hope legal American citizens who are carpenters and all types of people with construction knowledge are heading to New Orleans and Mississippi.
That industry has been so hard hit by illegals, it's about time......turn it around now

In addition to the hordes of illegals that are surely making a beeline for LA. and MS., I predict these area's will also see an unprecedented number of out of state construction related companies turning up to "help" as well.

This is NOT hurricane Andrew, where most out of state companies brought their own well paid work crew (housed and fed them too) to reap lucrative insurance dollars!

Oh Katrina is a whole nother $torm! Lucrative insurance contracts, hordes of illegals willing to work for low, under the table wages, AND...they will feed and house themselves to boot! What a $BONANZA$ for illegal alien employers!

Under such circumstances, how could an employer POSSIBLY check the legal status of potential employees?!?!
