Nine undocumented immigrants found in back of rental truck

TUCSON- Nine undocumented immigrants were found inside the back of a rental truck at the I-19 checkpoint on October 9.

According to the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, the driver of the truck gave agents consent to search the truck, at which time they found the nine individuals, eight from Mexico and one from Guatemala.

All of the undocumented immigrants were taken into custody and processed through the Tucson Sector.

According to CBP, the driver of the truck is a U.S. Citizen and was charged with alien smuggling.
