LAKEWOOD — A 33-year-old Lakewood man accused of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13 is in the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, being held in lieu of $100,000 bail, and is also detained without bail by the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

Pablo G. Vargas-Martinez is charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, according to a complaint.

The case was investigated by Officer Oscar Valmon, who charged the Ocean Avenue man on Saturday.

Superior Court Judge Barbara Ann Villano set bail at $100,000 and he remained in the jail today.
