Jose Carranza, suspected of killing 3 students, appears in court Friday.

NEWARK, N.J. - A third person was arrested Friday in connection with the execution-style killings of three college students and the wounding of another, NBC News reported.

The suspect was the second juvenile arrested in the case, NBC said. Further details weren't immediately available.

Also Friday, a 28-year-old suspect pleaded not guilty to the killings, a crime that has outraged a city fed up with chronic violence.

Speaking through a Spanish interpreter, Jose Carranza said he understood the charges against him. It was his first court appearance since he surrendered Thursday to Mayor Cory A. Booker.

Carranza was being held on $1 million bail. His lawyer, Felix Lopez Montalvo, declined to comment after the 11-minute hearing.

A second suspect, a 15-year-old boy, pleaded not guilty Thursday and remains in custody, prosecutor Thomas McTigue said Friday. Authorities are seeking to have the boy tried as an adult. His name was not released because of his age.

Both have been charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and related charges.

    'Stop the Killings'
The shootings ratcheted up anger in New Jersey’s largest city, where overall crime has declined but where killings continued at last year’s pace with 60 homicides so far this year. The killings have prompted billboards in the downtown area that scream, “HELP WANTED: Stop the Killings in Newark Now!â€

Ever since the news came out that the second suspect arrested was an illegal, notice how the lamestream media went AWOL on this story? Where this was a top two or three headlining story on every cable news channel, since they found out this scumbag is an illegal, the same channels that were all over this story are now totally silent. It's like "How horrific this, how heinous that, how terrible this, how awful that. Oh wait, it's an illlegal alien suspect with a long rap sheet including child rape... never mind".

As far our local news in San Diego, not a single station reported on the story after the news came out he is an illegal, it was like it never happened. First it was top of the hour news, then when they see it is an illegal alien suspect, they totally omit from the entire newscast, every single local San Diego station. But then again, this is normal for us, they refuse to mention when an illegal commits a crime here. But when an illegal is the victim of a crime, like a day laborer who gets rolled, there's hell to pay, it's wall-to-wall, round the clock, team coverage type reporting. Like the illegal who went DUI and plowed his truck into a parked car, leaving his son to die in the crash, after the intial report there has not been a single mention. No report on his arraignment, nothing.
