A restaurant at a North Carolina airport turned some stomachs after naming a breakfast "Border Patrol Scramble."
Bad Daddy's Burger Bar faced criticism that the name of the egg dish, featuring jalapeno peppers and salsa, was racially offensive.
"Shout out to @BadDaddysBurger for this poorly named menu item. Way to reflect today’s America," activist Andrea Pino tweeted last week after coming across the menu.
The eatery at the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport officially changed the name of the dish on Wednesday to "Spicy Morning Scramble" and apologized, according to the Charlotte Observer.

"We apologize for any perceived insensitivity ... We appreciate those who brought this matter to our attention," read the statement.
Many people had expressed their dismay on social media, saying "Border Patrol Scramble" was "racist" and insulting to immigrants. However, some people wrote that they had no issues with the name of the sandwich.
"Border Patrol Scramble, what’s wrong with it? Border Patrol, police and military are the only defense between us and killers, support them!" wrote one user on Twitter.
"Don't change the name of the Border Patrol Scramble! Don't apologize! Hail the border patrol! Keep the illegals OUT!!!" wrote another.
