Norway: Socialist Left and Green parties pressure government to take in more Muslim migrants

What could possibly go wrong? Celebrate diversity!
The Socialist Left and Green parties don’t seem to have said anything about ensuring that the migrants assimilate and adopt Western values. After the history of Europe over the last twenty years, it is clear that what they are calling for are Sharia no-go zones, sharp rises in crime, and strain on the welfare rolls. What does Norway gain from all that? A conscience cleansed of First World guilt?

“Norway’s Socialist Left and Green Party pressure government to take in more refugees from Greece,” Norway Today, October 15, 2020:

The Socialist Left Party (SV) and the Green Party (MDG) demand that the government presents a concrete figure on how many asylum seekers Norway will receive from Greece in 2021 before the New Year.
The demand was voiced in the Norwegian parliament (Storting) on Thursday.
The two opposition parties refer to the “basic principle that Norway should be a leader in the coalition of European countries that contribute to the rule of law for the around 50,000 asylum seekers who are prevented from traveling further from Greece.”
The Norwegian government has decided to bring in 50 asylum seekers from Greece, primarily Syrian families with children.
It is not yet clear when these asylum seekers will come to Norway.
That is far too low of a number compared to the humanitarian catastrophe on the Greek islands, MDG and SV believe….
