Driver arrested after allegedly hitting Orleans County patrol car

A 19-year-old man is in the Orleans County Jail today after the vehicle he was driving allegedly hit an Orleans County Sheriff’s patrol car and he tried to flee.

Felix Ignacio-Castro, of Elba, Genesee County, has been charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest and numerous other infractions, according to the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office.

Ignacio-Castro was heading east on Brown Schoolhouse Road in Clarendon about 5:15 this morning when his car crossed the center line and hit a westbound patrol car driven by Orleans County Sheriff’s Deputy D.E. Foeller Jr.

After the collision, Ignacio-Castro did not stop. Foeller turned around and pursued him. After about a half mile, Ignacio-Castro stopped and got out of his car. After a brief foot chase, Foeller caught up with Ignacio-Castro. He fought with Foeller, who used a Taser to take him into custody.

Ignacio-Castro is being held in the Orleans County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail. The U.S. Border Patrol also has filed paperwork to detain Ignacio-Castro until his immigration status is determined.

Three occupants of Ignacio-Castro’s car were turned over to the Border Patrol to determine their immigration status, according to Orleans County Sheriff’s officials.

Drunk at 5:30 AM????

It's getting pretty bad when they're now mowing down our cops. It's absolutely mind numbing to me how very many people these illegal aliens kill or maime with their cars in this country. Somebody needs to do a tally and see just how many cases there has been of this. It's unbelievable when you think of the amount of stories we get here in Alipac.
