    Amnesty would be a mistake

    To the editor:

    While it is magnanimous of the author of this little gem to allow that the U.S. has the right to enforce its immigration laws, it is beyond frightening that he apparently doesn’t understand that doing so is also a fundamental duty of the federal government. It is never too late and there are no conditions under which it is “immoralâ€
