The List: Possibly 10 more Utah DWS employees involved

SALT LAKE CITY - As the probe into the inappropriate use of private information continues, two employees of the Utah Department of Workforce Services were placed on administrative leave on Friday for their alleged actions in compiling the list of 1300 "illegal immigrants," and investigators believe as many as ten other state employees from the division could be involved.

They're sure cracking down on employees who made the list.

I wonder if these employees will get to keep their jobs? Do you think? Mortgages to pay, insurance, car payments, food, kids in school, tough times, etc.

What lesson do you think these employees have learned from all of this?

Yes, they will probably lose their jobs because they released the illegal aliens info.

Scapegoats will be needed to appease the illegals and their advocates. I would argue that citizens have a right to know how their tax dollars are being spent and that by applying for any type of welfare program they automatically give up their privacy rights. The public has a right to know who is using their tax dollars. Afterall, it is an effective tool by watchdog groups to dertermine who is commiting fraud against the tax payers such as illegal aliens.

I used to do Medicaid audits for our state. We had a policy of strict confidentiality about recipients' information. It is very frustrating over the years to see the tremendous amount of revenue directed to anchors of illegals. How do you know they are illegal? Easy, the Matricular Consular cards of the mom.

They may even be charged with criminal charges because of the social security numbers.

Well if they get charged with criminal charges because of the social security number then they should look to the supreme court ruling that overturned the illegal alien conviction of fraudulent use of a social security number. His defense was that he didn't know it belonged to somebody else so the prosecutors were not able to prove criminal intent.

These people should claim the same defense and say they didn't know the social security numbers belonged to somebody else, I mean afterall, it worked as a good defense for an illegal alien. And also they didn't have any criminal intent behind what they were ding, just ding a public service of letting tax payers know who and why people on welfare in their state were getting welfare.

I think I understand what is really going on now.

If you sign up with the Dept. of Wokforce Services you are signing up to take a job if one becomes available ? Am I right ?

So these Illegal Aliens were using false documents to get a job and the state is aiding and abetting this fraud.

In my eyes the people who reported this should be treated like whistle blowers and rewarded NOT like criminals.

I hope the State has to answer for their complicity in this plot to give jobs to IA's instead of citizens..
