Thread: Obama defends immigration efforts to Hispanic audience

Obama: Do not blame the Republicans or Democrats. Here what matters is the will of the American people. Americans have said many times: No amnesty for illegal aliens. Don't you know Obama? Americans run the United States. Politicians do not. Americans reject amnesty for law breakers.

If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, 'We're gonna punish our enemies and we're gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,' if they don't see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it's gonna be harder," Obama said.

The president also said it "makes no sense" for those impatient for immigration reform to stop participating in "the system." Instead, they should take a cue from African Americans' struggle for civil rights, he said.

"We worked for decades on civil rights. Civil rights didn't come after one year. It didn't come after two years. People had to march. They had to have their heads beaten. They had fire hoses put on them. Even after Dr. (Martin Luther) King gave his 'I Have a Dream' speech, it still took years before African Americans achieved full citizenship in this country," Obama said.

It sounds to me like he is advocating violence to get what they want.

Everytime I see or hear Obumer I get more sick to my stomach! How can the media sit back and let him slide compairing legal citizens who were miss treated to illegal alien rats who have no rite to be here in the first place. This is enough to make me throw up!

Rush is on fire re this today. He keeps repeating 'punish our enemies.' The enemies are those who do not want amnesty...the enemy is the state of Arizona, etc...another example of how Obama is a divider, not a uniter.

It appears the Americans against amnesty, open borders and invasion are enemies now?

I was under the impression this country had safe guards to arrest , try and punish those that are traitors to the United States?

My first thoughts were that the big "BO" is pushing for a Civil War. Us (US Citizens) against them (Illegal Aliens). What better reason to impose Marshall Law, shut down the internet, cut off all travel and communication, and divide this country enabling a Socialist takeover.

However, he's going to end up with a Revolution. The "Second Shot Heard 'Round the World" HAS BEEN FIRED! I, as well as many of my AliPac, Facebook, and email friends will not go "Quietly into the Night!"
