KOA delivers Broncos tickets to officer shot by murder suspect

DENVER - KOA Radio found its winner Friday in the "pay it forward" contest where listeners write in, nominating a deserving person for a prize.

One listener nominated Denver Police Officer Jack Bishop who was wounded in a shooting that killed his partner Donald Young. The two officers were working security at a baptismal party when they were shot. The suspect, Raul Gomez-Garcia, was recently extradited from Mexico to stand trial.

KOA DJs surprised Officer Bishop at work with two tickets to Sunday's AFC Championship game.

"This is a great surprise," he said with a big smile. "I know my wife and I look forward to going to the game, and I hope the Broncos win!"
Bishop says the Broncos always put on a good show and he's looking forward to them beating the Steelers on Sunday.
