TIJUANA – The Baja California Attorney General's Office identified two of three victims killed Sunday night when gunmen burst into a seafood restaurant.
Miguel Omar Rios Zavala was one of two customers shot to death about 8:40 p.m. in the seafood restaurant known as El Negro Durazo, located in Tijuana's bustling Rio Zone business district. The second diner has not yet been identified.
Another victim, Daniel Alejandro Zepeda Celedon, was reportedly working as a photographer at the restaurant.
Two others were wounded, the Attorney General's Office reported Monday.
The shooting marked another violent day in Tijuana, in which seven people were killed. Four people were killed in the eastern part of the city.
Drug-trafficking rivals have been fighting for control of the trade.
On Saturday night, federal authorities detained seven presumed cartel gunmen. A federal task force stormed a house in the city's eastern Loma Dorada neighborhood, according to a news release from the Federal Public Safety Secretariat.
The men, including a municipal police officer, were sent to Mexico City for interrogation, the release said.
The federal agents confiscated an arsenal that included AK-47 and R-15 rifles and thousands of rounds of ammunition, as well as uniforms reportedly used by gunmen working for a faction fighting for control of the Arellano Félix cartel.
The other four killings occured in the eastern part of the city.
The state Attorney General's Office said two of the bodies were discovered about 3:30 a.m. Sunday inside a Ford Ranger pickup.
In addition, a group of armed men killed a man and wounded a woman inside a house, the agency said. On a highway nearby, authorities found the body of a fourth man.

UPDATE
Assailants attack U.S. consulate in Mexico
By Mark Walsh
ASSOCIATED PRESS
3:03 p.m. October 13, 2008
MONTERREY, Mexico – Additional police guarded the U.S. Consulate in Monterrey on Monday as investigators analyzed a security video in search of assailants who shot at the building and threw a grenade that failed to explode.
Two men attacked the consulate in northern Mexico around midnight Saturday when it was closed, the consulate said in a statement. Nobody was hurt in the assault, which left the gate pockmarked. Six spent .45-caliber casings were found at the scene.
It was not clear if the attack was related to a wave of violence by drug gangs, and there was no evidence it was related to political terrorism, though fears persist that international terrorists might use Mexico to attack U.S. interests.
Officials were analyzing the consulate's security video, but had no suspects and had not determined a motive.
The consulate increased security and expressed “profound concern.â€NO AMNESTY

Overnight violence kills 8 in Tijuana
TIJUANA, Mexico (AP) -- Eight people are dead after overnight violence in the rough Mexican border city of Tijuana.
The state prosecutor's office says three teenagers were gunned down in the street. A 14-year-old girl was among them. A few blocks away, officials found more than 40 shell casings and the bullet-riddled body of a man.
In another part of the city, gunmen opened fire on a car, killing two men.
Assailants attacked another car before dawn Tuesday, injuring a police officer and killing his relative. A few hours later, the body of a man was found near city hall, his head covered with a plastic bag.
Tijuana has suffered a rising wave of homicides. Officials blame warring cells of the Arellano-Felix drug gang.
