Louisville CBP Finds Heroin in Woman’s Suit

    (Friday, August 29, 2008)

Louisville — On August 25, a woman’s suit shipped from India made more than a fashion statement with Customs and Border Protection officers working at the UPS Facility in Louisville, Ky. when 568 grams of heroin were found hidden within the shipment.

CBP officers found the drugs after a routine X-ray showed an anomaly within the package. The powered heroin was packed within two plastic bags and tucked in between the fabric of the Indian suit. The shipment originated with an individual in New Delhi, India and was addressed to a consignee in Toronto, Canada. The heroin was valued at over $50,000.

“I give our officers a lot of credit for finding drugs hidden in every conceivable manner at this facility and not letting them through, said Customs and Border Protection Director of Field Operations David Murphy. “This heroin will never make it to a community now thanks to the diligence of CBP.â€

Thanks JohnDoe2. The American public gets a front-line view of the work and success of CPB.
They nailed 3TONS of pot (there goes the price again!), $650,000 in fraudulent checks (which I am sure someone was desperately waiting for), $1 mil in various drugs (up goes the price) and today even the poor heroin user is derived of affordable drugs.
Is there any reason that Ramos and Compean should still sit in jail while Johnny Sutton, who brought the charges against them and gave immunity to the drug dealer to testify should not take the place of these two guys?
