FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio -

Fairfield County sheriff's deputies are investigating a road rage incident after a driver said shots were fired.

According to the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office, at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a call of shots fired in the area of U.S. 33 near the area of Hamburg Road.

Deputies said a vehicle was traveling westbound on U.S. 33 when a white GMC pickup truck cut them off. The caller told deputies, they had honked at the truck, and that is when the occupants of the truck began to make obscene hand gestures and one fired shots at the victim with a handgun.

The white truck was later stopped by deputies in the area of Cincinnati-Zanesville Road, east of Trace Drive, and four people were detained.

According to deputies, after a warrant was issued, a search of the truck recovered a .45 caliber handgun in the attached trailer.

Deputies said 18-year-old Bryan A. Torres, of Dallas, admitted to firing the gun during the incident, and was charged with second-degree felony felonious assault, fourth-degree felony of improper handling of a firearm and third-degree felony tampering with evidence.

Two other suspects, 33-year-old Leonel Aspetsia and 26-year-old Juan Aguinara, both of Dallas, were charged with fifth-degree felony obstructing justice.

The fourth person in the truck was released with no charges.

Deputies said three of the four people in the truck, were in the U.S. illegally, and U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement was called and immigration detainers were placed on the three men.

No one was injured in the incident, and if you have information in this case, you are asked to call the Fairfield County Sheriff's Department at 740-652-7900.
