Illegal Immigrants Released From Jail
Jan 26, 2007 11:57 AM PST
Sixteen illegal immigrants have been released from jail after pleading guilty to being in the United State illegally.
The men were arrested as a result of a raid conducted last year by the Boone County Sheriff's Department and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officials.
The immigrants were allegedly hired by independent contractors who were in turn hired by Fischer Homes to construct new homes in Boone County.
The illegal immigrants are now on a supervised release program for one year.

A supervised work program? As opposed to the unsupervised work program they put themselves on by coming here illegally?

I'm a little bit confused here. How does an illegal immigrant qualify for a supervised release program? Must be the actions of another liberal federal judge!

I thought in the past when they were released they were given a notice to appear for an immigration hearing. They never showed up of course but at least they tried to made us think they were doing something.

A supervised release program, does this mean we are now paying for them to have bodyguards. Would that surprise anyone? I'm surprised we do not give each and everyone of them their own interpreter when they come across the border.
