Endangering child, Walnut Hill Dr.: On Dec. 15, police were dispatched to Walnut Hills Apartments where the property manager found a child, 4, in the middle of the driveway crying.
The manager said he recognized the girl. After looking inside of her unlocked apartment, which was empty, he called the police.
That's also when the child's father returned home. He told the officer he and his wife had been at the hospital with their younger son. They didn't want to wake the girl. That's when the man was cited for child endangering.
It turned out the father was undocumented. While the officer contacted the Dept. of Homeland Security U.S. Customs and Border Protection, he was told at this time, per their policy, no action would be taken against the man.
