On November 7th, Mynor Leonel Jeronimo-Velasquez, age 31, was handed over to Marysville (TN) police officers by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) in Florida.
The illegal alien had been taken into custody two weeks earlier by MCSO deputies, along with the U.S. Marshals Service, after fleeing the state of Tennessee.

Jeronimo-Velasquez fled after hospital staff discovered that an 11-year-old girl was eight months pregnant.
An arrest warrant was quickly issued for the suspect and detectives began searching for the fugitive.
Jeronimo-Velasquez has been charged with two counts of rape of a child less than 13 years of age. He is currently being held at the Blount County Adult Detention Facility on an ICE detainer.
While the story was covered locally by a handful of media outlets, all but one between Tennessee and Florida omitted the defendant’s immigration status.
That outlet is La Guía News, a Spanish-language newspaper based in West Palm Beach, Florida.
La Guía News reported the following:
“The sheriff’s office said Jerónimo-Velásquez confessed to the rape and kidnapping at the county jail where he is being held, without the right to bail. Jerónimo Velásquez will be extradited to Tennessee where he faces charges.
He will also be in immigration order, for being in the United States illegally, authorities said.”
So, unless you are in the habit of reading La Guía News, or phoning either the Martin County jail, or the Blount County Sheriff’s office to inquire into a defendant’s immigration status, and simply relied on your local MSM news outlets for information, you would not know that this accused child rapist is here illegally.
Of course, the MSM will undoubtedly use their tired, old excuse, that “immigration status does not matter,” but, it obviously does matter. Remember, if they are not here, then they are not here to commit the crime.
