Over 4,600 Illegals–Including Criminals–Apprehended In One Week in Just One Border Sector Alone

By Ulysses S. Tennyson | May 2, 2021

There are 20 border sectors in Texas alone. One of them–The Del Rio Sector, saw an astonishing 4,600 apprehensions of illegal immigrants in just one week from April 22 — April 29.

4,600…Think about that for a moment.

If all Texas sectors are experiencing similar numbers, that would mean 92,000 immigrants came into America in just one week through just the Texas border, ignoring any other border states. With 52 weeks in a year, these numbers could easily be in the multiple millions this spring, exploding even further throughout the summer.

These are completely unsustainable, unprecedented, and preventable with proper border security that Joe Biden absolutely refuses to enforce. Instead, he ignores American laws and enables this drug, crime, and human trafficking crises throughout our border in an inexplicable drive to ‘brown’ America.

But it isn’t just the quantity of illegal immigrant criminals who are crossing the border that is the problem. It is also the violent criminals and weapons that many bring.

A press release from the US CBP notes:

U.S. Border Patrol
agents assigned to the Del Rio Sector have encountered multiple types of criminal activity over the past seven days, April 22 – April 29.On April 25, an agent assigned to Eagle Pass North Station discovered a black tactical backpack abandoned, near Eagle Pass. A search of the backpack revealed 24 magazines, one drum magazine, and 502 rounds of ammunition. Maverick County Sheriff’s Office took custody of the ammunition and magazines.

On April 23, agents near Brackettville, Texas arrested a Mexican national with a prior conviction of Sexual Assault in Tarrant County, Texas. On April 27, agents arrested a Mexican national near Uvalde with a prior conviction for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child in San Antonio, Texas. The next day, Uvalde Station agents arrested a Honduran man with a prior conviction for Sexual Assault out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Agents disrupted 69 smuggling cases attempting to smuggle 364 migrants further into the U.S. throughout sector and made 4,640 apprehension in the past seven days. Del Rio Station agents had multiple instances where they apprehended over 100 individuals at one time.

“There is no routine case or apprehension, agents must always be prepared for the worst and work hard to keep our communities safe,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Austin L. Skero II. “We continue to encounter dangerous criminals and weapons in the more remote areas.”
