Muhammad Hanif, 25, has admitted to police that he raped a 16-year-old boy on Saturday night in a dorm at Northamptom Community College in Bethlehem, PA. Both Hanif and his victim, were attending summer courses at the college.

According to police, the teenager fell asleep in Hanif’s room, only to awaken to the Pakistani man sexually assaulting him.
While Hanif admits to the assault, he also told police that he thought the boy was gay.

Hanif was charged with felony counts of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and sexual assault. He is being held in the Northampton County Jail on $200,000 bail.

This case is yet another example of how important it is to rigorously screen those wishing to visit the United States, before simply issuing a visa to them. Unfortunately, for this young man, he will will have to live with this trauma for the rest of his life.

We have more crime than we can handle in this country already, we do not need to import violent criminals.

In 2009, the Department of Homeland Security issued 1,130,818 new Green Cards to foreign nationals. That number represents the fourth highest number of cards ever issued in one year.
