sorry to have to break this news to you folks. I know many of you had been holding out hope she was a leader of her own and more conservative than McCain on immigration, but she is in lockstep with McCain's plan.

Republican Vice Presidential candidate and Alaska governor Sarah Palin addressed issues yesterday relating to Latin America, including Hugo Chavez and illegal immigration, in her first interview with a Spanish-language network. The interview began with Univision anchor, Jorge Ramos asking Palin to clarify recent statements she and Republican Presidential candidate John McCain have made, characterising Senator Barack Obama's tax proposals as "socialist". Palin denied ever having called Obama a socialist directly.

The interview quickly turned to US nemesis, leftist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who has repeatedly claimed the US is planning to attack Venezuela. However, Palin said military action was a last resort. “We hate war. We want peace. “We want through negotiation and sanctions if need be to put pressure on a dictator like Hugo Chavez, to let them see that they will not mess around with America the way that they want to,â€

If McCain's plan makes it past congress, you get your pretend to enforce the border show and then 15 million illegal aliens are turned into voters and you get no more border security after that.

If Obama gets his version of the same plan for the financial elitist they both serve, you get the same 15 million illegal aliens turned voters just without the pretend to enforce the borders routine.

All these characters scare me. John McCain with his history of melanoma and his age, unfortunately, would give way to Mrs. Palin, who thinks her job as vice president is to work on legislation as president of the Senate. Biden has been known for not knowing when to stop talking, but I would trust him over Palin as taking over the presidency. Heaven forbid either scenario happens.
I have a gut feeling that Obama may be more malleable on the issue of illegal immigration as he will surround himself with the best thinkers in the country. McCain would probably surround himself with Bushicans, proteges of Cheney and Rumsfeld and all the other characters that have spiralled this country into the black hole it is currently in.
When either of these two gets into office, then we know whom we are dealing with and can really start yelling.

Not surprised especially since she was talking to Univision and we know with such a controversial subject as illegal immigration she's been rehearsed well as to what to say.

We hear candidates pander and say things but get into office and do something else.

She must realize an amnesty of 12-20 illegals will be the end of the Republican Party.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall and hear what these people really think.

Gov Palin has no clue just how bad the illegal alien situation really is in the mainland. Illegal aliens have just started to trickle into Alaska. I guess illegal aliens will be flocking to Alaska now that they know how soft she is on the matter. :(

Heres what I hope happens if obama wins.that all legalized illegals head on up to alaska and move in next to palin and she gets to see her town go to hell like the rest of us will.

Well folks.......what a surprise, another politician that will sell us out! Is Hussein Obama/ Biden and John "amnesty McCain/Palen running for Mexican president or is La Raza and the Mexican cartels/government paying them all very well...

Well then our only hope is not letting it get past congress...what I am afraid of is after they went ahead with the Bail out, they are not afraid of us anymore, most of the rats don't even have anyone challenging them in this election....we just have to hope we can keep stopping it in congress.

Me too. I have a feeling that she would be open to LISTEN where as the others wouldn't be. Perhaps in Alaska she doesn't know the extent of the problem and how it hurts Americans. I think once she got the real info on it she would do a 180 turn.

It’s a subject the Alaska governor has never mentioned before. But listening to what she said didn’t clarify much. Her answers were very cautious and were designed, like those of McCain, to take a middle road that leaves their specific immigration reform policy unclear.

Palin told Univision’s Jorge Ramos that it would be impossible to deport 12 million undocumented immigrants, saying that "not only economically is that just an impossibility but that's not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration."

Asked whether she would support an "amnesty," she said, "Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They've got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides."

In another part of the interview, however, Palin said that she supports a path to citizenship for the undocumented. "I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.â€

I'd rather fight amnesty with the McCain/Palin ticket that with the Obama/Biden ticket. It is very scarey that we might have a Democratic majority in the Senate as well as in the House. Can you even imagine the results of that with Obama/Biden in the White House????
With the polls leaning so heavily towards Obama, it is no wonder the Dow keeps plunging. People are pulling money out left and right so they don't have to "share the wealth" that they have worked so hard for....Meaning the middle class folks, not the rich folks.
God help us.

It is apparent to me that she is good at learning her lessons quickly and essentially saying nothing about anything that matters to the American people. Sadly it has all come down to "trust us more than our opponents" with no real reason to trust either of them.

I agree! Like Newt Gingrich said, "I'd rather fight McCain 10% of the time than Obama 90% of the time." IF we have a Democrat controlled Senate and House there will be no fighting. Just close up shop and go home. They haven't listened to us before and they sure as heck with full power won't do it then. They are already talking about taking the tax incentives away from our 401K's. These people are so control hunger. I think getting your money out of the country is a good idea. Swiss bank only, but that is what the wealthy are doing. The don't trust Obama and they won't be hiring.
