Panama Announces 60K Haitian Migrants Moving to U.S.

Panama’s foreign minister warns that as many as 60,000 Haitian migrants are likely headed to the U.S. after passing through her country. The new wave of Haitians follows the release by the Biden Administration of thousands from the Del Rio brdige camp crisis earlier this month.

Panama Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes told Axios as many as 60,000 Haitian migrants are poised to make their way to the U.S.-Mexico Border. The Panamanian government expects another 27,000 Haitians to make the trek through the Darien Gap this month — more than the total for all of 2019.

The Panamanian foreign minister is asking for help from the Biden Administration to coordinate with all of the nations in the region. She wrapped up meetings earlier this week in Washington with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and congressional leaders.

“We’ve engaged with every single authority that we can think of, that we can come across, to say, ‘Please, let’s pay attention to this,'” Mouynes stated. She expressed frustration with the Biden Administration being “caught off guard” by the Haitian migrant crisis. She said she has been sounding the alarm for months.

“We all have a role to play in this issue, and the regional approach is the correct approach,” the foreign minister explained. “It is impossible for Panama to solve it on its own.”

Mouynes reported that more than 85,000 Haitians crossed to Colombian border into Panama so far this year. “When we receive them on the Panamanian side, they’re malnourished. The children are in terrible condition, so even getting them up to a healthy state takes time,” she said.

Mouynes added that Colombia is currently holding back approximately 30,000 migrants seeking to cross into Panama.

It will be unfortunate, but they will probably produce quite a few American citizen children. They may be illegal, but their children born in the US won't be.

Is that the first thing on your mind when you see people trying to illegally come here? Not wage depression? Not increased crime?

I guess all of those, but I'm afraid they will eventually have voting age children. And the fear is that they will vote Democrat. I think that's what the Democrats are hoping.

As sure as you are seeing things change, the Democratic Party is losing their grip. You've heard me preach about Americans waking up to the games. Unless the Dems change course, they will become irrelevant.

There has to be a party that will step up and govern Americans into a new era, right?

It seems at this point most major cities and some states are firmly under Democrat control. How many decent size cities have Republican mayors? It would take a miracle to turn CA red. They seem to follow the Democrat party like lemmings. You have Stacey Abrams trying to whip up the Black votes for Democrats. Changing demographics are in their favor. The Democrats think they have the lock on most Blacks, Latinos, Gays, immigrants. And statistics indicate they are right. Most of the Blacks in Congress are Democrats. My observation.

I also think the people that are receiving government handouts will vote for the party that gives them the most stuff. They cater to illegal aliens in the hopes these people will feel or their children obligated to vote Democrat.

I hope that people will wake up to the fact the Democrats are using them. It would be a very tough job to wake up enough of them. Candice Owens gave it a try with blexit. I hope you are right that people are waking up. I want to see more of it happen.
