Tonight, another daytime press conference, another dismissive
performance from President Bush. Bush flatly refused to answer
questions from NBC’s David Gregory about an Israeli attack on a
Syrian nuclear site—something Israel itself now confirms.
Gregory asked about Syria at another recent press conference
and got the same answer from Bush, whose best offer was an
invitation to ask another question on an unrelated topic. But
while refusing to acknowledge Syria, Bush today stepped up his
rhetoric on Iran and appeared in public with the Dalai Lama,
rankling the government of Communist China. Join us tonight for
those stories and all the day’s news from Washington.

latest commentary on whether the United States can survive the
remaining 15 months of George W. Bush’s lame duck presidency.

deportation. But yesterday, the Commission voted against the
proposal in favor of funding the expansion of existing jails.
Tonight, a look at current proposals in Virginia and how far
the state may go to enforce federal immigration laws.

of what it used to be. Join us for an alarming report on yet
another way that this government is failing its citizens, even
when it comes to providing something as basic as clean water.

Yahoo is under intense scrutiny for misleading Congress about
the information it provided to Communist China regarding a
pro-Democracy Chinese journalist. Shi Tao was arrested and

writing, but the company was not forthright during a
Congressional inquiry on the matter. Now the House Foreign
Affairs Committee has called for Yahoo to testify to clarify
its misleading information. Tune in for a special report
tonight on Yahoo’s complicity with the Communist Chinese
government.
