EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14) — U.S. Border Patrol agents continued their crowd control exercises Thursday near Sunland Park and Anapra as more reports are coming in of migrant caravans making their way to the United States.

This exercise marked the third in the El Paso sector.
About a half-hour after the exercise, the remains of gas used could still be seen in the area. Agents explained to KFOX14 that the gas is used to hide themselves behind a cloud of smoke.

The exercise began with a helicopter that arrived and used a voice amplifier to give commands to stay behind the border fence.

The exercise lasted about 40 minutes and was a joint operation between U.S. Border Patrol, CBP's Air and Marine Operations, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel.

The exercises are to prepare for a scenario in case a large crowd would require the deployment of large numbers of law enforcement officers.

During the exercise, one agent threw tennis balls at the agents, who responded with commands to stop throwing objects.

The U.S. Border Patrol says these exercises are an ongoing practice.

They are not throwing "tennis balls" at our Border Patrol...they are throwing rocks and bricks.

I think Schumer and Pelosi need to get suited up and get on the front lines...for 30 days!
