Sheriff's raid at Mesa construction firm nets 3 arrests

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's deputies on Wednesday raided a Mesa construction company and arrested three suspected illegal immigrants on felony charges of identity theft.

Arpaio said the raid on CNM Homes, Inc., in the 3000 block of Norfolk Street, culminated an investigation that began with a tip six months ago.

Arpaio said deputies had expected to make 15 arrests and that more may follow Wednesday's raid.

He said this was the fourth raid under the state's employer sanction law in the last six months, and that the raids have resulted in 55 arrests.

Arpaio said his office plans its 20th employer sanction raid in Phoenix at an undisclosed location Thursday afternoon.

MESA, Ariz. - Three people have been arrested after a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office raid at a valley construction company.

The immigration raid occurred at C&M Homes near Greenfield and McDowell in Mesa on Wednesday morning.

Three people working at the business were arrested for alleged identity theft and illegal immigration.
