Pinal Co. deputies track down SUV with 25 passengers inside
September 1, 2011
TUCSON - A traffic violation turned into much more for deputies in Pinal County.
Deputies tried to pull over a Chevrolet Suburban south of Eloy on Wednesday.
The vehicle was full of passengers and the driver took off.
PCSO air support helped track the SUV near a river bottom on Toltec Road. The driver parked there and more than 25 people fled from inside.
PCSO says evidence inside the SUV indicates the passengers are in the country illegally.
Border Patrol agents responded to help assist the search for the people, but because of the heavy brush, deputies were unable to locate the driver.
