Police chief arrested for selling gun to illegal alien

An Alabama police chief – and former Democratic candidate for sheriff – has been indicted for allegedly selling a handgun and ammunition to a person he knew to be an illegal alien.
Franklin police chief Michael Clement’s home was raided this week and he was arrested by Macon County Sheriff’s deputies.

“Clements was indicted by a grand jury for selling a .357 Smith and Wesson handgun to a person the Chief allegedly knew was living here illegally in July 2014, then he allegedly sold the same person ammunition on May 8, knowing the buyer was illegally living in the United States,” WSFA reports.


Clements’ mobile home was raided by the FBI, along with the State Bureau of Investigations.


According to the Opelika-Auburn News, investigators could be seen removing boxes of evidence from a Tuskegee home where the police chief lived.


He claims to be a lifelong Macon County resident and rose through the ranks of the Tuskegee Police Department by serving as a corporal, sergeant, lieutenant and captain.


Clements ran for Macon County Sheriff on the Democratic ticket in 2014, according to a sample version of the ballot.
He received 3% of the vote in the June primary, finishing last, Macon Progress reported.

I have an important tip for the FBI! If the FBI is serious about arresting people that sell or provide guns to illegal aliens then they should plan a raid on the following address where there is more than sufficient proof they've been running guns to the cartels! ....
