Marion County Sheriff's investigators have identified Juan Manual Lopez-Pacheco, 18, as a suspect in the death of a 26-year-old man whose body was found Dec. 2 along a rural road east of Salem.

The Marion County District Attorney's office said Abenamar Velazquez-Ramirez died of "homicidal violence," but have released little more about the case. He was discovered along Dunsmere Street SE near Macleay Road.

Lopez-Pacheco is an associate of the Brown Pride Raza gang and goes by the moniker of "Pelon," sheriff's Deputy Kevin Rau said. The sheriff's office is seeking the public's help in locating him.

Investigators also are looking for Lopez-Pacheco's mother, Lidia Gonzalez-Martinez, 34, who has been identified as a person of interest in the case.

She has an extensive criminal history.

Gonzalez-Martinez is 4-foot-10 and 110 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a scar on her abdomen.
