Police sieze Minuteman's legal guns for political views?

ALIPAC Activists, please research this story to determine if this report is accurate. If accurate as stated in this article, this is a grave concern for all Americans.

All he wanted was to talk to his representative about a political issue — something supposedly guaranteed by the First Amendment’s right to petition clause. True, being an activist with the Minutemen and wanting to discuss concerns over criminal illegal alien activity wasn’t exactly something he expected would resonate with Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY), but over the years, Gabriel Razzano had established a rapport with her chief of staff, who had even visited him at his home.

Except there was now a new chief, Razzano found out when he paid a visit to McCarthy’s office. And he didn’t return calls. So Razzano returned to McCarthy’s office to make an appointment, and this time was informed he was no longer one of her constituents due to reapportionment. They promised they’d straighten things out, but a week later, not having heard from them, he came back. They instructed him to go to the board of elections, which he did, returning with a “stamped official copy of his Certificate of Registration along with a Voter Registration Printout,â€

I think it's time for a class action law suite

Veterans as well are being denighed the right to carry fire arms if they come back from Iraq with even battle fatigue (Just plain Exausted) ... but yet they can be re-sent back into a battle zone ... and they have for a second and third tour of duty and in some cases 4 ... packed to the gils with armaments.

BUT bring your exausted backside home to the states and your rights are stripped away... something isnt right here

An outspoken Long Island gun owner's home was raided by Nassau County detectives, who seized two dozen weapons he lawfully owns just one day after Rep. Carolyn McCarthy's office made a 911 call about him.

Freeport resident Gabriel Razzano claims he was targeted in the spring raid for his "unpopular" political beliefs.

He's now filed a $5 million federal lawsuit against the Nassau PD and McCarthy, charging they joined forces to strip him of his guns unconstitutionally.

The case pits Razzano against McCarthy, the most outspoken gun-control advocate in Congress. A crazed gunman murdered her husband in the infamous 1993 Long Island Rail Road Massacre.

The flap arose on March 19, when Razzano visited McCarthy's Garden City office to discuss an article about an illegal immigrant who was deported but was later nabbed in Freeport for the attempted murder of a cop.

"The office staff felt that Razzano's behavior was disruptive and threatening," said Lt. Kevin Smith, a police spokesman.

Razzano's home was raided the next morning.

This type of behavior was typical of the Nazis. They forced people to register their guns and then took them from people. Exactly why gun registration should not happen. We are given the right under the US Constitution to have guns, so the authorities do not need to know who has them. I don't know why I get this feeling but I feel his rights have been violated. Perhaps this is a violation of the unreasonable search and seizure laws.

The government has no right to seize a private citizen's guns like this if there are no criminal charges and convictions of said charges involved. The only allowance they usually make is they will take guns while a domestic violence charge is pending.

Just think of all of the nasty and arrogant pro amnesty incumbents in Washington that would like to see those of us that speak out on contentious issues raided as punishment for "bothering" their offices.

From what is present in these articles, I think Gabriel Razzano has one hell of a case!

Agree, ALIPAC! Afterall, if this precedent of police grabbing guns because someone is trying to talk to their duly elected representative is upheld, what will be next? The removal of all dangerous sharp instruments from a home, down to kitchen cutlery, removal of all shoes incase of shoe bombs?

This article makes one want to "cling to their guns and religion."

    Registration works.
