Politician & Minutemen Demand Change On Border

    POSTED: 10:21 p.m. MDT August 21, 2005

    Minutemen creating stir in Mexico

They've patrolled the Mexican border for months now, but the Minutemen organization, New Mexico Borderwatchers say they don't plan to stop anytime soon.

Even the emergency declaration from Governor Bill Richardson, isn't putting a stop to their actions. Clifford Alford, Borderwatcher manager, says the announcement isn't doing much to help law enforcement agencies that need it. "All he has to do is either activate state guard force or send national guard, and put them down here; we'll go home," he said.

Some across the border say the Minutemen organization is interfering with people's rights and say that job should be left to the government.

Statements like this puzzle me. There is no 'human rights violations' in keeping people from illegally entering this country. That's why there IS a border. That's why there IS a legal route for immigration here.

I suppose this is the argument of folks who have NO argument.

Obviously, those who make statements like this are extremely undereducated if not mentally off.

Sure there is, don't you know there is some construction contractor that can't get coolie wage laborers? He might, perish the thought, actually have to pay someone a living wage or worse yet hire...... American workers. OHHHH the inhumanity of it all!!!! LOLOLOL!

QUOTE: Some across the border say the Minutemen organization is interfering with people's rights and say that job should be left to the government.

And, excuse me, what about the right of the American Citizens to have their laws enforced? What about the right of the American Citizens to have protection by their government for their children, fellow Americans and themselves.

Do you want to talk about somebody's Rights be trampled all over as a result of this illegal immigration nightmare?!? GOOD. Because that is exactly the point we've been trying to get across for a long time. Let's pinpoint and get to the bottom of this as to WHO and WHAT has been jeopardized by this illegal fiasco.

Why don't we start where we should start...with our American children.
Their safety, their well-being, their health, their culture, their language, their parents jobs and wages.....their trust in their government leaders to put them as number ONE on our country's "priority list". Let's start talking, today about people's rights. And since we're talking about the United States of America, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know the only right thing to do is to start by acknowledging the harm and negligence which has taken place regarding the rights of the American Citizen.

Let's go all the way and really do it right, by starting with our most vulnerable, our children and our sick and poor. If illegals are working at power plants and airports, you can bet your bottom dollar they're working in our nursing homes, daycare centers, and schools. They have not had proper health screening and we know for a fact they're working in places handling food. Let's talk about WHO'S RIGHTS are being bulldozed!!!!

Has anyone ever thought of the second amendment aspect of the Minutemen?

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State."

Anyone trying to interfere with the Minutemen...could...and should be sued for attempting to deny the minutemen of their constitutional rights.
