POLL: Voters are Disgusted by Biden Administration’s Decision to End Title 42

No matter what the corporate press says, there’s little demand for open borders among the American populace.
Fewer than 30% of US registered voters indicated they back the Biden regime’s proposal to end Title 42, a measure that gives immigration officials the power to deport border crossers for public health reasons. During the Wuhan virus pandemic, the Trump administration used Title 42 to maintain stability at the southern border.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced earlier this month that the Biden regime plans on repealing Title 42 on May 23. The order has allowed federal immigration officials over the last two years to quickly send illegal aliens back to their countries of origin after reaching the southern border.
By scrapping Title 42, officials in the Biden regime are now conceding that “half a million border crossers and illegal aliens — the equivalent of Atlanta, Georgia’s, resident population — to arrive at the border every month,” according to a report by John Binder at Breitbart News.
Per a poll by the America First Policy Initiative, there are strong majorities of voters opposing the Biden regime’s apparent decision to end Title 42. Only 29% of voters support the Biden regime’s decision.
On the other hand, 65% of voters described Title 42 as an “appropriate” public health measure that doubly functions as a border control measure to halt waves of illegal immigration.
Moreover, 71% of voters said they are in favor of deploying US Armed Forces to the border. Another 70% indicated that states have the right to take border control measures when the federal government is not able to halt illegal immigration.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has already laid out plans for ending Title 42. Breitbart News has previously covered the DHS’s “Southwest Border Mass Irregular Migration Contingency Plan.”
According to Binder, the plan outlines “broadscale release mechanisms” that “transform the border into a mere checkpoint for foreign nationals arriving every day.”
Binder continued:
Under the plan, Biden seeks to limit the use of removals and deportations for border crossers and illegal aliens and instead shift to mechanisms like parole, Notices to Appear (NTAs), and Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program — all of which result in border crossers and illegal aliens being briefly detained before getting transported, with the help of taxpayer-funded non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to American communities.
The Biden regime’s open borders policies are clearly irritating the majority of voters. Already having to deal with dire job prospects and rising crime, the average American voter wants nothing to do with mass migration, a policy that displaces working class Americans and increases the nation’s crime rate.
National populists should capitalize on Americans’ natural aversion to mass migration. This is one of the simplest ways to cruise to victory in the 2022 midterms.
