Pope sends aid to migrants stranded at the US border

Thousands of Central American migrants in Mexico are in need of assistance.

Pope Francis has donated 500,000 dollars to assist migrants in Mexico. The funds, from the Peter’s Pence collections, will be distributed among 27 projects promoted by sixteen Mexican dioceses and religious congregations, which requested assistance in continuing to provide food, lodging, and basic necessities to the migrants.

According to a statement from Peter’s Pence, “In recent months, thousands of migrants have arrived in Mexico, having travelled more than 4,000 kilometres on foot and with makeshift vehicles from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. Men and women, often with young children, flee poverty and violence, hoping for a better future in the United States. However, the US border remains closed to them.”
Diminished aid and media coverage

In particular, the aid is intended to assist the more than 75,000 people who arrived in Mexico in 2018, in six migrant caravans. “All these people were stranded, unable to enter the United States, without a home or livelihood”, the statement reads. “The Catholic Church hosts thousands of them in hotels within the dioceses or religious congregations, providing basic necessities, from housing to clothing”.

Transparent use of donations

The statement from Peter’s Pence insists that “a regulated and transparent use of the resources, which must be accounted for, is required before the aid is assigned”. It notes that thirteen projects have already been approved, with another fourteen currently being evaluated.
“Thanks to these projects”, the statement concludes, “and thanks to Christian charity and solidarity, the Mexican Bishops hope to be able to continue helping our migrant brothers and sisters”.

The Chairman of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Migration and the President of Catholic Relief Services have issued a statement supporting a call to end a US policy that requires asylum seekers to go to Mexico while waiting to appear before a US judge.

In their statement, Bishop Joe Vasquez and Sean Callahan say that, “Consistent with the Texas-Mexico Border Bishops March 4th Statement we oppose U.S. policy requiring asylum seekers to remain in Mexico while waiting to access protection in the United States”.
The March 4th statement, by Bishops whose dioceses lie on the border between Texas and Mexico border, expresses their “total disagreement with the policy of the government of the United States to send to Mexico migrants who are waiting for their turn to appear before a US judge who will decide whether or not they receive asylum”.
Seeing Christ in those who suffer

The Bishops urge everyone to see “Christ in need” in these “suffering asylum seekers”, who are “driven by situations of extreme violence and poverty”. They invite everyone to give them the support they require, without assuming that they are criminals – as they are so often perceived.

The Bishops of the United States call on the current administration to reverse this policy, which they say needlessly increases the suffering of the most vulnerable and violates international protocols.
Looking beyond our borders

“We must look beyond our borders”, the statement reads, as families are escaping extreme violence and poverty at home and are fleeing for their lives.
They ask the US government to find a way to address root causes of migration, and especially, to “promote human dignity and sustainable livelihoods”. With the Texas-Mexico border bishops, they urge a renewed commitment to Pope Francis’ call “to welcome, protect, promote, and integrate our immigrant brothers and sisters in Christ”.
240 "returns"

Since January 2019, the United States has returned 240 people to Mexico, as they await their court proceedings. The majority of these are migrants who crossed the US Mexico border legally. Mexican officials claim that the number of migrants who have been sent back to Mexico after crossing the border illegally is “very low”.
This policy is the latest effort imposed by the Trump administration to try to curb a sharp increase in the number of Central American families that are arriving at the border and claiming asylum. Administration officials say that even though many of the migrants seeking asylum are eventually refused, applicants end up living in the United States for years while they wait for their cases to be processed.
However, immigration advocates state that sending vulnerable migrants back to dangerous border cities is not only illegal, but also that it violates U.S. obligations under international treaties.
The American Civil Liberties Union and other groups have sued in federal court to halt the program.

In a move that many have interpreted as a shot across the bow of President Trump, Pope Francis has upped his globalist-leaning interventionism by donating $500,000 to help Central American migrants stranded in Mexico as they try to reach America.

RT reports that The Catholic Church's Peter’s Pence Fund said in a statement that aid to migrants by governments and private individuals has dropped as global media coverage of the crisis decreased.

“All these people were stranded, unable to enter the United States, without a home or livelihood,” Peter’s Pence said.
“The Catholic Church hosts thousands of them in hotels within the dioceses or religious congregations, providing basic necessities, from housing to clothing.”

Many have interpreted this move as retaliation after Trump cut all aid to Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador last month, accusing the Central American countries of not doing “a thing for us.”

The resistance against Pope Francis, who has used his powerful position atop the Catholic Church to promote Marxism, is growing among his ranks.

Many of the top clergymen and scholars have signed a letter to Pope Francis accusing him of heresy and urge Bishops to “take the steps necessary to deal with the grave situation.”

“We take this measure as a last resort to respond to the accumulating harm caused by Pope Francis’s words and actions over several years, which have given rise to one of the worst crises in the history of the Catholic Church,” the signatories wrote.

“We limit ourselves to accusing him of heresy on occasions where he has publicly denied truths of the faith, and then consistently acted in a way that demonstrates that he disbelieves these truths that he has publicly denied,” the letter continued.

The letter was signed by some of the most influential Catholic minds in the world, including Fr. Aidan Nichols, a renowned theologian. The signatories wanted to make it clear that they did not take these measures lightly.“We limit ourselves to accusing him of heresy on occasions where he has publicly denied truths of the faith, and then consistently acted in a way that demonstrates that he disbelieves these truths that he has publicly denied,” the authors wrote.“We assert that this would be impossible, since it would be incompatible with the guidance given to the Church by the Holy Spirit,” they continued.They pointed to the following Pope Francis quote as an egregious example of heresy:

“A Christian believer can have full knowledge of a divine law and voluntarily choose to break it in a serious matter, but not be in a state of mortal sin as a result of this action.”

They urge the Bishops to take immediate action.“Despite the evidence that we have put forward in this letter, we recognise that it does not belong to us to declare the pope guilty of the delict of heresy in a way that would have canonical consequences for Catholics,” the letter stated.
Nevertheless, they feel the matter is rather cut and dried.“It is beyond a doubt that he promotes and spreads heretical views on these points. Promoting and spreading heresy provides sufficient grounds in itself for an accusation of the delict of heresy. There is, therefore, superabundant reason for the bishops to take the accusation of heresy seriously and to try to remedy the situation,” the signatories wrote.
“If – which God forbid! – Pope Francis does not bear the fruit of true repentance in response to these admonitions, we request that you carry out your duty of office to declare that he has committed the canonical delict of heresy and that he must suffer the canonical consequences of this crime,” they added.
As Pope Francis tries to remedy a pedophilia crisis in his church that he helped enable, he is encountering significant push-back from some of the most respected Catholics in the world. He may want to consider stepping down before further scandal can emerge.

Despite undergoing many scandals, Pope Francis has not lost sight of what is important to him: promoting globalism and the new world order. He took his push to a new level last week by presenting an explicit declaration against national sovereignty.
“When a supranational common good is clearly identified, there is need for a special legally constituted authority capable of facilitating its implementation,” Pope Francis said while speaking at the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences in the Vatican’s Apostolic Palace.
The Pope is particularly concerned about ending global warming and protecting migrants. With nations unable to resist, the global government proposed by Francis could dump Muslim migrants into first-world nations and impose draconian carbon taxes without the will of the people ever being considered.
“Think of the great contemporary challenges of climate change, new slavery and peace,” he said.
The Pontifical Academy met last week to discuss the themes of “Peace Stemming from Justice. Theological Reflections Between Men, Communities and Nations” and “Nation, State, Nation-State and the Doctrine of the Catholic Church.”
The Pope used the forum as an opportunity to advocate for a one-world government.
“Groups of neighboring nations — as is already the case — can strengthen their cooperation by attributing the exercise of certain functions and services to intergovernmental institutions that manage their common interests,” Pope Francis said.
The Pope frequently spoke out of both sides of his mouth at the event in his attempt to confuse Catholics into accepting a globalist new world order on behalf of the “universal common good.”
The Catholic Church “has always exhorted men to love their own people and homeland,” Pope Francis claimed before pivoting.
“At the same time,” he said, “the Church has warned persons, peoples and governments about deviations from this attachment when it is about excluding and hating others, when it becomes conflictual nationalism that builds walls, indeed even racism or anti-Semitism.”
He warned against populist leaders who are willing to push-back against globalist initiatives as a threat to world peace.
“The Church observes with concern the re-emergence, almost everywhere in the world, of aggressive currents towards foreigners, especially immigrants, as well as that growing nationalism which neglects the common good,” Pope Francis added.
“There is a risk of compromising already established forms of international cooperation, undermining the aims of international organizations as a space for dialogue and meeting for all countries on a level of mutual respect, and hindering the achievement of the sustainable development goals unanimously approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 25 September 2015,” he continued.
With Pope Francis being called a heretic by Catholic leaders and overseeing a worldwide pedophile scandal, the pontiff remains focused on promoting global government despite Biblical warnings against the idea. It is difficult to imagine the Catholic Church regaining its credibility without the prompt removal of Francis.
