Portland Rape Case Sheds Light On Illegal Alien Sex Crime

More than 100 illegal immigrants have been arrested in North Carolina for child sex assault so far in 2017, study shows

The recent arrest of 31-year old Sergio Jose Martinez in Portland, Oregon, for the brutal rape of a 65-year-old woman reveals the extent to which unsecured borders inherently put Americans at risk: Martinez had been deported 20 times.

Pro illegal-immigration advocates, liberals, and their allies in the mainstream media continue to cover up the very real danger that criminal illegal aliens pose to law-abiding American citizens, but increasing coverage of cases like Martinez’s is making it nearly impossible for them to deny that the problem exists.

It is also becoming increasingly difficult to deny that sex offenders like Martinez are a particular problem. Indeed, a survey of U.S. Customs and Border Protection press releases suggests that more than 40 illegal alien sex offenders have been apprehended by the agency so far this year.

An analysis by LifeZette found that from January 1, 2017 through July 31, 2017, Customs and Border Protection agents arrested at least 41 individuals guilty of committing sex crimes. Shockingly, 29 of those 41 — more than 70 percent — committed sex crimes involving children.

“It’s little wonder that many Americans have completely lost faith in their government’s ability to secure the nation’s borders and keep Americans safe," Dave Ray, communications director for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, told LifeZette.

"The story of the 20-times deported illegal alien underscores the half-hearted attempt our nation has made in the past to regain control of our borders. Lax enforcement, combined with dangerous sanctuary policies, provides easy access and safe havens for those who wish to come here and prey upon innocent Americans," said Ray. "This ongoing failure to protect our own citizens helped make immigration a centerpiece issue in the past election."

The statistics suggest that Border Patrol agents arrest illegal alien sex offenders at a rate of nearly six per month, and that four of every six offenders arrested by Border Patrol are child sex offenders.

Of course — that's just at or near the actual border. Within the nation's interior, local law enforcement is arresting illegal alien sex offenders at a rate of dozens, if not hundreds, per month.

North Carolinians for Immigration Reform and Enforcement, a nonprofit in North Carolina that tracks illegal alien crimes involving children in the Tar Heel state, found that between January 1, 2017 and June 30, 2017, a staggering total of 114 illegal aliens were arrested on a total of 389 combined charges relating to child rape or sexual assault.

“Porous borders allow all kinds of individuals – regardless of their intent – to enter the U.S.," raid Ray. "Some come here simply to work, some come here to prey on our citizens and our children," Ray continued.

"What’s important to note is that when communities embrace sanctuary policies, like Portland, they have no clue as to the criminal backgrounds of the illegal immigrants they are protecting, or the future carnage or mayhem a criminal alien might unleash on their unsuspecting citizens.”
