Thread: Pregnant Migrant Rescued from Top of Border Wall in California

A pregnant, 19-year old-Central American migrant from Guatemala was rescued from the top of the border wall in Mexicali after becoming unable to safely continue to the U.S. side.

Firefighters in Mexicali responded to an emergency call on Wednesday regarding a woman stuck on the boundary separating Mexico and the United States. Jacqueline Daniela González Ramírez was attempting to illegally enter the United States with a group of migrants but was unable to climb down. Firefighters used a ladder to help her down safely. She was immediately arrested by Mexicali municipal police and then transferred to immigration authorities (Instituto Nacional de Migración).

González Ramírez’s group initially scaled the barrier by first climbing a tree, local media reported. The remainder of her party were later arrested by U.S. Border Patrol agents.

Breitbart News reports extensively on the estimated 7,000 to 9,000-plus migrant caravan, which began in Honduras on October 12, 2018, and traveled through Guatemala to the United States border with Mexico. On November 14, nearly 400 migrants in eight buses were filmed traveling through the northern border state of Sonora, escorted by Mexican federal and state police. Approximately a day later, another 900 Central Americans in 22 buses passed through Sonora. Many in the migrant caravan stayed in Mexicali after the shelters of Tijuana were filled to capacity. Secondary camps were set up for those waiting to make an asylum request with U.S. Department of State. Mexicali is approximately 110 miles east of Tijuana.

Mexicali is in Mexico. She was brought down off the wall by Mexican Firefighters, in Mexicali, Mexico and turned over to Mexican immigration authorities.

Judy, the story says her group was helped by a tree according to the news story. Cut it down. This is just another example of how easy it is to get over the border.

No anchor baby from her today because she could not successfully get over. She may try, try again after this child is born. She knows that freebies and dollars await her arrival and when not pregnant she can make it over.

Oh yes, I agree, I guess they climbed the tree and jumped over on the wall, but the tree is in Mexico on their side of the wall. Not sure we can do anything about that. Maybe Mexico will realize they need to cut down the tree. I sure hope so.

Well, this seems to be one of those rare cases where Mexico did the rescuing. If it would have been us, she probably would have been roaming our interior free as a bird within the next 30-60 days with her asylum claim pending.

We did get stuck with some of her group. Shocked, I tell you shocked, that Mexico did the rescuing, our agents must have been very, very busy assisting other invaders, and couldn't get there in time.

Mexico needs to put her on a bus and DEPORT her back to Guatemala.

Poverty and pregnancy is NOT asylum.

Send them all back.
