Last week, many political observers predicted the demise of the immigration reform bill after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) pulled the measure from the agenda. Unfortunately, the bill’s demise was short lived and only a week later, it is back from dead. Reid has promised to bring it up for a vote next week. A deal was hatched after hours of talks between Senators from both sides of the political aisle. The controversial bill grants illegal immigrants a “pathwayâ€

Every undertaking of Bush has been a failure. What makes anyone think his amnesty bill would be any different. Born a fool, always a fool.

That is exactly how I see it. If this bill passes, it will be a debacle - sort of like Katrina on steroids. It will engener litigation that will last for a generation. The bill is so poorly written that every section of it will have to be interpreted by a court - which will cost taxpayers another bucket of money. It will also create a situation where the illegals will be able to remain in the country until all appeals are exhausted.
