I actually watched the speech, twice, to be sure I got exactly what Trump said. He didn't say "more". So all our "friends" are lying for clicks. Whatever. I guess that's the business they're in and no one cares but me.
Okay, you're the only one I see having a tizzy over a single word in a news article headline. On H-2A visas, there is no numerical number on H-2A visas that are allowed to come here for work in the agricultural industry. If those numbers were less than normal it had nothing to do with Trump and more to do with the agricultural industry (farmers) hiring more illegals to get their workers instead of using the H-2A visa program. As for the H-2B visas, all of us were extremely disappointed when the Trump administration raised those numbers, especially after his repeated talk of placing American's first! There was no defense for the increased numbers.
Yes, we are all "extremely disappointed" last year over the one-time 15,000 additional H2B visas. They came, they worked, their employers paid all their taxes and a prevailing wage, and they left. Ancient history. No crime, no welfare, no anchor babies, no "cheap labor". The H2B visa workers are paid the prevailing wage by law and it's now strictly enforced by Trump which is why they didn't even use all of the 15,000 he agreed to issue out of the 70,000 he could have issued. I realize that you don't understand or don't care what is going on so I'm going to end my discussion of this issue. I brought the fact about Breitbart's headline being false to everyone's attention, so you are informed, but how you choose to use the information, is up to you.
I asked you to show me proof that the increased visa quotas weren't used, but you refused. So why make a statement you can't back up? I have no reason to believe every single one of the 15,000 increased H-2B visas were not used and neither should you. Unless you have evidence to prove otherwise, it is safe to assume they were all used.

Nice cop out. This isn't about working for me or anyone else, it's about being able to back up what you say. If you can't back something you claim as fact up, you probably shouldn't say anything at all. Oh, and why should I look something up I don't believe exist? When you pass something off as fact, you should always be prepared to offer evidence when it's asked for.
Oh, alright, then:

One-Time Increase in H-2B Nonimmigrant Visas for FY 2017
ALERT: After Sept. 15, USCIS is no longer accepting petitions filed under this rule. USCIS will reject any petitions received after Sept. 15. Petitions not approved before Oct. 1, will be denied and any fees will not be refunded. With the close of the petition period on Sept. 15, USCIS has tabulated that it has received a total request of 13,534 workers. Additional data is available in the “Transparency for U.S. Workers” section on the Immigration and Citizenship Data page.
USCIS will consider petitions requesting an employment start date on or after Oct. 1, towards the FY 2018 cap. These petitions will be subject to all eligibility requirements for FY 2018 H-2B cap filings.
On July 19, 2017, the Departments of Homeland Security and Labor published a final rule increasing the numerical limit (“cap”) on H-2B nonimmigrant visas by up to 15,000 additional visas through the end of fiscal year (FY) 2017. These visas are available only to American businesses which attest that they will likely suffer irreparable harm without the ability to employ all the H-2B workers requested in their petition.
This is a one-time increase based on a time-limited statutory authority. It does not affect the H-2B program in future fiscal years. It will expire at the end of the day on Sept. 30, 2017.
Secretary Kelly’s decision to increase the cap was determined in accordance with Section 543 of the FY 2017 Consolidated Appropriations Act (“FY 2017 Omnibus”). Congress delegated its authority to Secretary Kelly to set a numerical cap for the remainder of the fiscal year. Secretary Kelly considered the needs of American businesses and other factors, including the impact on U.S. workers and the integrity of the H-2B program.
The 13,534 in petitions are just the ones that were received before the cut-off, those were then reviewed and adjudicated before a visa was issued, so the number of visas actually issued is even less than the number of petitions received, because some are approved, while others are denied, some withdrawn, and some remain pending and are never approved or denied before the program for that year expires.
